Wedding Ideas for Spring #1: Take Advantage of the Stunning Color Palettes.

While each of the seasons presents their own unique attributes and we could fill numerous blog posts outlining these different qualities, we’ll start this week’s blog post with a specific one and that is the color palettes. Even though you can utilize any color palette for a wedding during any season, you can safely say there are some colors that tend to get associated with specific seasons and when it comes to spring color palettes, you’re certainly in luck! With spring weddings, we see a rise in pastel colors. Think of color options like a mint green, lavender and peach as potential options. It’s not difficult to see how these could add a fun and joyous element to such a special day. Whether that be for decor around the venue, linens on the reception tables, bridesmaids dresses or anywhere else, having the opportunity to incorporate these stunning pastel colors will always be stunning!

Wedding Ideas for Spring #2: Longer Days Mean More Wedding Day Possibilities.

While you have complete control over your color palette selection, there are some things dependent on the time of year and geographic location. These variables can help sway your decision in one way or the other when it comes time to pick a season to tie the knot. Nonetheless, when discussing wedding ideas for spring, we couldn’t not mention how you can utilize this to your benefit.

Longer Days – As the heading suggests, the days will start to get longer as we journey through the spring season. For a wedding, this allows you the opportunity to have some added flexibility in how you design your wedding day timeline. Whether that means golden hour photos or even the ability to capture more outdoor formal photos after the ceremony, the increased amount of daylight can be a blessing.

Weather Conditions – Weather does play a role in a wedding date selection. No surprises there, right? While some geographic locations have milder winters (Texas included!) and some venues have outdoor/indoor spaces available, there are ways to make any setting work. However, when referencing the spring wedding season, you can’t ignore the beautiful weather conditions. The temps have increased from their winter lows, yet haven’t reached their summer highs. From outdoor ceremonies to outdoor receptions and even final dances under the stars, there are more ways than one in which you can integrate an outdoor component into your special day. This is true from early spring weddings in April all the way through Memorial Day Weekend.

Wedding Ideas for Spring #3: Hire Talented Vendors and Allow Them to Work Their Magic.

Did you know the spring season symbolizes new beginnings? Is there a more fitting symbolization than that for a wedding day? And with this being the season of new beginnings, you’ll be glad to know there are countless possibilities when it comes to your wedding celebration and hiring a talented team of vendors will go a long way to ensuring it’s everything you’ve imagined it being. So…as can be said about weddings year-round, it’s always important to do your due diligence in hiring your wedding professionals and lean on their expertise when it comes to wedding ideas. What might this look like for a spring wedding?

Photographer – One of the benefits of a spring wedding is all of the picturesque backdrops. Especially if you hire a photographer that’s previously worked weddings at your venue, they’ll be an excellent resource for the different backdrops worth utilizing. A wedding photographer is obviously an important part of your vendor team, so it’s worth finding one with plenty of experience!

Florist – Another major advantage of a spring wedding is the abundance of stunning in-season florals. We’ve said it before, but there isn’t a better combination than weddings and flowers! Peonies, hydrangeas, tulips, the list goes on for in-season spring florals. With spring wedding flowers, you have a couple of ways to approach this topic. First, you can do your own research and find some styles you like on Pinterest or Instagram. This can be perfect for crafting your general inspiration. Secondly, by hiring a professional florist, they can either present you with possible ideas or take the inspo you’ve selected and run with it. Either way, it’s worth finding an experienced florist to take your spring wedding flowers to the next level!

Your vendor team will encompass several other wedding professionals (caterer, DJ, cake baker, etc). Nonetheless, for this blog post, we wanted to highlight a couple of examples on how you can lean on their talents when planning a spring wedding!
