And believe us, the Houston area has more than a few awesome wedding vendors for engaged couples to consider for their own wedding day.

For those of you who are new to our wedding blog, you’ll notice that we have two main categories for our blog posts. First off, there are tips for couples currently in the process of planning their wedding. Whether that be in regards to building your wedding vendor dream team, knowing what to ask during your venue tours or anything else, we like to cover as many wedding topics as possible! The second type of blog post category entails overviews from past weddings held at Madera Estates, which is what we will discuss today. In this week’s blog post, we’ll walk you through Amika and Roger’s wedding day from earlier this year.

Getting Ready Moments

For those familiar with our wedding venue, you likely know there are two “getting ready” suites available for couples – the Champagne Suite and the Whiskey Lounge.

How stunning does our bride-to-be, Amika, look in her wedding dress?! BLUSH – Hair & Makeup Artistry handled the glam for this wedding celebration!

When touring potential wedding venues for your big day, what qualities are most important to you in terms of evaluating the different bridal suites?

As mentioned above, the second of two “getting ready” suites at Madera Estates is called the Whiskey Lounge.

Roger and the guys got all spruced up as the ceremony quickly approached!

Time for the “I Do’s!”

With all of the “getting ready” moments complete, it’s now time for these two to become Mr and Mrs!

Amika and Roger tied the knot in front of the Grand Fireplace, which serves as a popular backdrop for outdoor wedding ceremonies at Madera Estates! By the way, we’re loving the flower petals scattered throughout the aisle!

After Amika and Roger exchanged their vows and “I Do’s,” these two are officially husband and wife! Congratulations to the newlyweds!

Indoor Wedding Reception in Conroe, TX

After taking some formal wedding photos both with their wedding party, as well as family and friends, it was time for the reception to begin!

Amika and Roger made their grand entrance into the Hacienda, and enjoyed their first dance together as husband and wife!

When it comes to wedding day traditions, toasts are a must, right? This wedding celebration had some great speeches that filled the ballroom with plenty of laughter!

And speaking of wedding traditions, you can’t forget about a beautiful wedding cake!

Cakes by Gina is definitely a talented cake baker with the ability to create wedding cakes that not only taste great, but look amazing as well! How beautiful does this wedding cake look?!

After a fun night of dancing (kudos to DJU Entertainment, who served as the DJ for this reception and also was the photo booth provider as well), Amika and Roger enjoyed a final wedding day dance together in an empty ballroom! This is always such a memorable moment for couples and also something we encourage couples to consider incorporating into their wedding day timeline. While your friends and family line up outside for the final send-off, take advantage of this special moment for a dance neither of you will ever forget!

When it comes to popular ways for closing out the “Best Day Ever,” one route that many couples go with is a sparkler send-off!

It’s always such a memorable experience as the newlyweds are surrounded by their loved ones and a terrific way to wrap up the “Best Day Ever!” Not to mention, it also results in some amazing photos too! The pictures above and below this are perfect examples of just that!

We would like to give a huge thank you to Amika and Roger for allowing us to be a part of their special day! From start to finish, this was such an amazing celebration and we wish these newlyweds a lifetime filled with love and happiness!
