Even though we still have a few more weeks left in the 2025 calendar year, this week’s blog post is going to look a little further in the future. For those who are familiar with our wedding blog, you may recall seeing our past posts highlighting wedding dates for previous years. This covers everything from holidays and lucky days to full moon days and more! As you can likely imagine, one task that couples will complete in the early stages of wedding planning will involve selecting a specific date for your big day. It’s no surprise why this is so important and how it can impact other decisions, including total price and vendor availability. With that being the case, any extra information you can have about potential wedding dates can certainly be useful! Throughout this week’s blog post, we’ll break down the 2027 year and highlight some dates worth being mindful of.

January

To get things started with this week’s blog post, we’ll take a look at a winter month that is more than capable of delivering some magical wedding celebrations! While it can be a little chilly in parts of the country (thus resulting in more indoor weddings), that shouldn’t deter you from considering a January wedding. Here in Conroe, the temperatures will hopefully slowly climb as we journey through the winter season and couples have so many possibilities for creating their “Best Day Ever!” With Valentine’s Day also falling in February, you’re probably not surprised to hear that reds and pinks are popular color selections for a February wedding.

It is worth noting that Super Bowl Sunday is February 14th, so if you are big football fans, you might want to keep that in mind! All in all, you’ll notice that a lot of the popular trends and ideas we mentioned above with January weddings are also popular in the month of February as well.

March

As we journey into the month of March, we are greeted with our first taste of springtime. And in the wedding world, the spring season brings fun pastel colors, picturesque landscapes and ideal weather conditions with it. Not to mention, in case you needed another excuse to incorporate different shades of green (whether that be decor, linens, bridesmaids dresses, etc) into your wedding day, St. Patrick’s Day also falls in March as well.

If you’re tying the knot in a colder weather climate, the spring season will also be refreshing in that it accompanies warmer weather and longer days, thus giving you more options for your wedding day timeline!

April

Going right along with many of the advantages of spring weddings outlined above, we now have April, which continues to be a popular month for weddings. While we highlighted the awesome weather and stunning natural springtime elements above with March, we’ll take it one step further here and discuss the in-season florals that will undoubtedly be a hit with an April wedding. After all, is there a better combo than flowers and weddings? Lilacs, tulips and peonies are just a few of the many in-season flowers in the spring. Toss in the talents of an experienced florist and you’ll have floral arrangements scattered throughout that only add to the magic of your special day.

It’s safe to say our pets are part of the family, right? With National Pet Day being in April, we wanted to remind you that there are ways in which you can include your furry friends into your wedding celebration! Take a look at the photos below to see how we’ve had couples do just that on their “Best Day Ever!”

May

For those that have checked out our past blog posts, you may recall us mentioning how some holidays are more ideal for weddings than others. With that being said, one holiday that can work for weddings is Memorial Day Weekend. Why is this the case? Well, for one, Memorial Day is referred to as the start of summer (even though summer technically starts in June). With that, the weather is starting to heat up, the days are getting longer and couples have plenty of options at their disposal for wedding day timelines. Secondly, considering many of your guests may have work off on Memorial Day, hosting your wedding on that Saturday or Sunday before will allow them to enjoy the weekend and not have to rush back (especially if you have guests traveling from out of town).

Aside from that, what else do you find in the month of May? Cinco de Mayo can be a great theme to incorporate into your wedding day fun! How about Star Wars Day? May the 4th be with you! We’ve had a couple incorporate this into their wedding theme and it was such a neat addition.

Holidays:

  • Cinco de Mayo – Wednesday, May 5
  • Mother’s Day – Sunday, May 9
  • Memorial Day – Monday, May 31

National Days:

  • Star Wars Day – Tuesday, May 4
  • Military Spouse Appreciation Day – Friday, May 7
  • Wine Day – Tuesday, May 25
  • Smile Day – Monday, May 31

Lucky Days:

  • Saturday, May 1
  • Sunday, May 2
  • Monday, May 3
  • Saturday, May 8
  • Monday, May 10
  • Saturday, May 15
  • Sunday, May 23
  • Saturday, May 29
  • Sunday, May 30

June

While we just mentioned above how Memorial Day Weekend typically gets referred to as the start of summer, the official first day of summer falls in the month of June. So…what makes the summer months so amazing for weddings? Well, how about the fun color palettes that are often associated with the summer season? Think of bright colors that are sure to pop in the photos! Add in the picture-perfect landscaping and stunning in-season florals, and there’s a reason why the summer can be ideal for weddings!

National Donut Day? Say no more! When it comes to wedding day desserts, there are no shortage of possibilities nowadays and we’ve seen donuts find their way into a wedding reception before!

July

For those of you who are familiar with Madera Estates, you likely know that amazing fireworks displays are a regular occurrence at weddings here! After all, does it get more magical than having fireworks light up the sky on your “Best Day Ever?” Whether you choose to have this take place right at the end of your ceremony or as a closing send-off, it always creates an unforgettable experience for everyone in attendance. Feel free to scroll through our Instagram page HERE and we’re sure you’ll come across wedding day fireworks a few times! With Independence Day falling in July, we had to mention fireworks for this section.

Along with the excitement that can come from a wedding day fireworks show, another fun day in July is National Ice Cream Day! We’ve had couples incorporate ice cream carts into their wedding celebrations on several occasions.

By the way, we always like to mention when there is a palindrome, as that can be a cool play on numbers to add. For 2027, the palindrome is in July with July 20, 2027 (7.20.27).

August

Following along in the summer season, we now stop at the month of August. With the longer days, couples have so much flexibility in terms of how they design their wedding day timeline. Not to mention, as we’ve already featured once before, the in-season florals are sure to pop for any summer wedding celebration. Hydrangeas, zinnias, lilies, you name it!

As you’ll notice throughout this blog post, there are several examples of different desserts that you may or may not have considered as a possible option for your wedding reception! Keep in mind these can be served in addition to your classic wedding cake. Nonetheless, they can undoubtedly add a fun element to your reception! In August, we have another example of just that with National S’mores Day! Have you ever considered having a s’mores bar at your wedding reception?

National Days:

  • S’mores Day – Tuesday, August 10
  • Couples Day – Wednesday, August 18

September

Earlier in this blog post, we mentioned how Memorial Day Weekend can be a perfect weekend for a wedding. Well, the same logic holds true with Labor Day Weekend as well! And with the official start of fall being in September, it’s no surprise why September continues to be one of the more popular months for weddings. Thanks to the natural backdrops, comfortable weather conditions and beautiful color palettes, the fall season will continue to be a fan favorite for couples planning their wedding celebrations!

By the way, one of the Saturdays (9/18) in September happens to be “National First Love Day.” If you’re someone that’s tying the knot with your high school sweetheart, this can be a cool idea to work into your wedding day festivities!

October

With the fall season in full swing, we arrive at one of the most popular wedding months and that is October. Thanks to the ideal weather conditions and beautiful backdrops (leaves changing colors, awesome landscapes, the list goes on!), it should come as no surprise as to why October continues to be so popular. Not to mention, with Halloween also falling in October, couples have the opportunity to get creative with their wedding day theme. We’ve witnessed a couple “Til Death Do Us Part” themed weddings and they certainly didn’t disappoint! Even if you don’t tie the knot on the actual day of Halloween, you can still incorporate some of these concepts into your decor and overall theme.

Holidays:

  • Halloween – Sunday, October 31

National Days:

  • International Music Day – Friday, October 1
  • Dessert Day – Thursday, October 14

November

Continuing with the fall theme, we now arrive at another fall wedding month, which is November. As the temperatures outside slowly drop (although it’s still not too cold here in Texas!) and the days get a little shorter (allowing for a twilight element), the fall foliage and fall color palettes take center stage in November.

Previously in this blog post, we talked about how some holidays are more suited for a wedding than others. While the actual day of Thanksgiving might not be the best fit (given that many of your guests may have prior commitments), the weekdays leading up to the holiday can be perfect. This is largely because any of your family members or friends that have to travel from out of town may already be doing so for Thanksgiving, so it’ll be easy to combine the two celebrations together!

Holidays:

  • Dia de los Muertos – Monday, November 1 – Tuesday, November 2
  • Veterans Day – Thursday, November 11
  • Thanksgiving – Thursday, November 25

Lucky Days:

  • Tuesday, November 2
  • Friday, November 5
  • Monday, November 22
  • Wednesday, November 24
  • Friday, November 26

Full Moon:

  • Sunday, November 14

That doesn’t mean there won’t be time for weddings though! After all, the holiday season is all about spending time with family and friends. What better way to get everyone together than celebrating a milestone moment like a wedding? Plus, to add to it, you can also incorporate holiday and wintry decor to your celebration as well!

Delicious desserts are a MUST at any wedding reception, right? Whether that be in the form of a classic wedding cake or dessert table is up to you, but we’re sure your guests will love either route! If you need some dessert ideas, National Brownie Day, National Cocoa Day, and National Cupcake Day all fall in December too.
