Here at Madera Estates, our team has been lucky enough to have worked with hundreds of amazing engaged couples throughout the years. From the initial venue tour to the planning stages and of course, the special day itself, it truly is a fun and exciting experience. I think anyone that’s worked in the wedding world would agree that it never gets old witnessing wedding days.
For those who are new to our wedding blog, one type of post that we try to feature on a regular basis involves inside peeks at previous wedding celebrations that took place at Madera Estates. Doing so is always an enjoyable process for our team as we can look back on each of the memorable moments that occurred! However, we also understand this can be a helpful resource for engaged couples currently planning their own wedding, especially for those that will be tying the knot at Madera. Nonetheless, if you’re in the wedding planning stages right now, you likely understand there is always room for new ideas and inspiration to consider including in your own wedding.
Having said all of that, this week’s blog post is going to follow along on Karisa and Doug’s wedding from last fall. Their October wedding celebration was truly magical every step of the way. At the end of this blog post, we’ll include a full vendor list. However, before that, we did want to give a special thanks to the photographer from this wedding, Ama by Aisha #amabyaisha, who captured all of the beautiful photos featured throughout this blog post.
Getting Ready Moments
We will get things started inside the Champagne Suite where Karisa and her besties were getting all glammed up for the big day ahead.
I think any bride would agree with me when I say these are such memorable moments!
And before you know it, it’s time for Karisa to put on her beautiful wedding gown!

First Look at Madera Estates
It’s safe to say “First Looks” are becoming more and more popular! It’ll undoubtedly be an experience you’ll never forget and also results in some lovely wedding photos too.
Karisa and Doug went with a “First Look” and as you can tell, it was so adorable!
In addition to creating a precious moment with your soon-to-be spouse, first looks also provide some time flexibility in which you’re able to capture several photos before the ceremony.
Add in the getaway car (compliments of Royal Coach Classic Limo) and you have some awesome photos!
Along with these lovely photos of the couple, they also captured wedding party and immediate family photos before the ceremony as well.

October Wedding Ceremony in Conroe, TX
With the pre-ceremony festivities complete, it was now time for the “I Do’s!”
Karisa and Doug’s wedding ceremony would take place outside in front of the Grand Fireplace, which serves as the backdrop for many ceremonies at Madera Estates.
The couple exchanged their vows and said their “I Do’s,” as friends and family were in attendance.
And just like that, Karisa and Doug are officially Mr and Mrs! Congratulations!
October Wedding Reception in Conroe, TX
After the ceremony was complete, guests enjoyed appetizers and drinks during the cocktail hour before everyone headed to the courtyard for the newlywed’s first dance as husband and wife.
With the candles shining bright on the Grand Fireplace, this was such a breathtaking moment. Oh, and did we mention there was also a fireworks display too? Shout-out to ROAR Over Texas!
After that amazing first dance, it was time to head into the Hacienda for the next part of this wedding reception.
Everything was set up flawlessly inside the ballroom, including the beautiful, multi-tiered wedding cake! Kudos to Cakes by Gina on another wonderful creation!
Everyone in attendance enjoyed a delicious meal provided by Churrascos Woodlands, and the newly married couple rocked “Bride” and “Groom” hats!
Looking for something unique to incorporate into your wedding celebration, how about an “Audio Guestbook?” We’re loving this idea that Karisa and Doug had!
As you’ll see throughout the photos below, this wedding reception truly was so much fun!
A few of the couple’s loved ones shared a few words with some wonderful toasts!
And, of course, we couldn’t forget the cake cutting either!

What’s next? Time to open up the dance floor!
Flight of the Keys had the dance floor packed all night long!
How about having a live painter at your wedding? Rendered Moments certainly added a fun element to this celebration!
As you can tell, this wedding reception was an absolute blast!
One final dress change before the night comes to a close!
Ama by Aisha #amabyaisha did a flawless job at capturing each of the special moments throughout this reception.
Before we send these newlyweds off in style, Karisa and Doug were able to enjoy a final dance inside the Hacienda.
We’ve had several couples include this in their wedding day timeline and it definitely never disappoints!
Meanwhile, their loved ones lined up outside for the final sparkler send-off.
At the end of their send-off, they were greeted by their getaway car, a Rolls Royce (compliments of Royal Coach Classic Limo).
Congratulations to Karisa and Doug! We wish you a lifetime of love and happiness!
