As you embark on the wedding planning process, it’s safe to say there are a few items, in particular, that you may find yourself prioritizing in the early planning stages. After celebrating the exciting engagement news with friends and family, I’m sure that you’ll be ready to hit the ground running and start planning each aspect of your “Best Day Ever!” Whether that be in regards to establishing a general budget, brainstorming ideas for the big day with your partner or anything else, there will certainly be plenty of things to do!
In the paragraph above, I mentioned how there are certain tasks that you may want to prioritize early on and that is because these things tend to be a little more time-sensitive than some of the others. And with that being the case, one task that you’ll want to focus on in these early stages is going to be touring and ultimately booking your wedding venue. Unsurprisingly, your venue selection is a big decision and one that you won’t want to rush through either. It will serve as the backdrop for your special day and as such, you’ll want to put careful thought into the decision to ensure the venue perfectly matches what you’ve envisioned for your wedding day.
As you start to look around and evaluate potential venues, you’ll quickly notice there are different styles of venues out there, as well as varying packages to pick from as well. You will want to take these factors into consideration, along with variables like price, availability, and even the reviews that you find online about the venue. All of these can play a role in your final selection!
That leads us into the topic of this week’s blog post, which will be perfect for couples that are looking for an Italian wedding venue in Houston. In the blog post below, we will discuss a few different features of Madera Estates that perfectly match an Italian wedding venue.
Architecture
When you think of an Italian-themed wedding venue, chances are one of the first things that will come to mind is the overall architecture. Architectural elements definitely stand out when you’re evaluating potential venues. Here at Madera Estates, it goes without saying that there are several Italian-based architecture components throughout. For one, most of the architecture is reminiscent of an Italian-style villa. With several arches, the cobblestone Grand Fireplace and walls, stucco exterior and so much more, the architecture is designed for any couple that is searching for an Italian wedding venue in Houston. Gazebo
Next on our list of Italian wedding items is the gazebo. First things first, let’s take a quick history lesson. In Italy, there was an era from the 14th century to the 17th century that is known as the Italian Renaissance. The Italian Renaissance is known for several different things, but for the sake of this blog post, we’ll discuss how gazebos (or as they called them, belvederes, and were quite common in the Renaissance years) have turned into a well-known structure.
With an artistic design, gazebos have sustained their popularity and also happen to be an available add-on through the Madera LUXE collection. In addition to a number of other rentals available with Madera LUXE, couples can choose to have a gazebo with greenery at their wedding celebration. This will surely only add to the magic of your wedding day and also is perfect for photos too!
Newly Renovated Champagne Suite
Do you follow us on Facebook or Instagram? If so, you likely saw a sneak peek of our recently-renovated Champagne Suite, which serves as the bridal lounge at Madera Estates. The Champagne Suite is a spacious area that includes everything from a dressing room, to hair and makeup room, and so much more! Simply put, you’ll have more than enough space to enjoy these special moments with your besties and get all glammed up for the big day.
Well…as you can likely guess since it is featured in this particular blog post, there are also several Italian-themed elements to it. With the stunning wooden doors (and gold accents), the carefully-selected furniture, the beautiful decor pieces, and so on, the Champagne Suite is certainly giving off plenty of Italian wedding vibes! Fountains
It’s safe to say that the combination of fountains and Italy is one that dates back centuries. As such, you’ll see more than a few beautiful fountains throughout this European country. Well, if you ever tour or visit Madera Estates, you’ll instantly be greeted with a stunning fountain right in front of the venue’s entrance, thus adding to the Italian element of our wedding venue. Not only that, but it can also be utilized as another lovely backdrop piece for photos too! Photo below courtesy of Ama by Aisha.
Al Fresco Dining
On the topic of wedding venues, part of the venue selection process will entail deciding between whether the wedding will take place indoors or outdoors (or a combination of the two, which tends to be most common). Outdoor ceremony preceding an indoor reception, indoor ceremony followed by an outdoor reception, there are a few different options that you’ll be able to pick from with this. For this week’s blog post, we’ll be focusing on outdoor receptions, which you can also refer to as “al fresco” dining. Given that “al fresco” is an Italian term, it should come as little surprise that it is featured with this particular topic.
While every couple will have their own unique preferences, there is certainly a lot to love about outdoor wedding receptions. Weather will obviously be a factor that may come into play (which is another reason why we encourage couples to look for venues that have a back-up plan available in the event of any weather issues). However, it goes without saying that an al fresco wedding reception can be so much fun. There is generally more space to utilize, you’ll be able to dance under the stars throughout the reception, natural light is ideal for photos (mainly if part of the reception is during the daytime), the venue backdrop can serve part of the role of general decor, the list goes on! All the Details
As you go through the wedding planning journey, you’ll likely notice how details play such an important part in several facets of a wedding and that is certainly plenty true when you’re looking into potential venues. Throughout this blog post, we’ve discussed several aspects of our venue that will most likely catch the eye of engaged couples searching for an Italian wedding venue in Houston. Before we wrap up this week’s blog post, we did want to take a moment to discuss just a few other Italian-themed features of Madera Estates.
Nature contributes quite a bit to creating an Italian-style wedding venue. Behind the Grand Fireplace, you’ll see the tall cypress trees. Following a similar theme, elsewhere around the venue, you’ll spot a courtyard, gardens, rose bushes and simply put, plenty of earthy tones. Not to mention, no matter if you’re planning on having a twilight ceremony, al fresco reception or even just a final send-off outside, the cafe string lighting above will only add to the magic! When we head indoors, the ornate lighting fixtures, artisan feature walls and rustic kings’ tables (hand-carved wooden tables) all fit the Italian theme flawlessly. All in all, we understand how important details are to a wedding celebration, so we’ve carefully taken our time to ensure everything matches flawlessly.
