“Where there is love, there is life.” – Mahatma Gandhi. Having witnessed first-hand hundreds of wedding days, we feel confident in saying that every single wedding day is unique. If you’ve been following us either here on the blog or on social media, you’ve likely seen plenty of examples confirming this statement. From the gorgeous floral arrangements and delicious food to the newlyweds themselves, helping host wedding celebrations is something that’ll always be an exciting experience for everyone involved.

As some of you may know, one of the major themes throughout our blog is highlighting wedding days from start-to-finish. Not only can this help couples currently in the planning process with some inspiration for their own big day, but also we have to say that it’s always fun taking a trip down memory lane. On today’s “Real Wedding” blog, we’ll be taking an inside look at Olivia and Connor’s special day at Madera Estates. From the first look to the sparkler send-off and everything in between, this really was such a fun-filled September evening!

Getting Ready at Madera Estates

As is the case with many of our “Real Wedding” blogs, we’ll kick off this big day in the Champagne Suite, which serves as the bridal suite at Madera Estates. Olivia and her besties were busy getting all glammed up for the day ahead with the help of Hair by Liz.

By the way, how stunning is that wedding dress?! As the girls were getting ready for the big day, they took a moment to snap a few photos in the bridal suite, rocking their matching robes!

Inside the Groom’s Suite at Madera Estates

While bridal suites typically get a lot of love, you can’t forget about the guys either, right? At Madera Estates, the groom’s suite is also referred to as the Whiskey Lounge. 

Connor and his groomsmen enjoyed a few cold ones and had plenty of laughs as they got all spruced up for the upcoming celebration.

Time for the Wedding Dress!

As we hinted at above, Olivia had an absolutely stunning wedding gown! 

And before the bride-to-be had her first look with Connor, she had a first look with her bridesmaids as well! What a moment that I’m sure they’ll all remember.

First Look Before Wedding Ceremony

If you’ve followed along on some of our previous “Real Wedding” blogs, you likely already know that First Looks are becoming more and more popular. While the traditional approach of seeing your soon-to-be spouse on the walk down the aisle is still extremely common, there’s no denying that First Looks always create some special moments.

With a beautiful backdrop, we love how these First Look photos turned out!

Formal Photos at Madera Estates

Another advantage to having a First Look before the ceremony is the opportunity it presents to snap some bridal party, family and any other formal photos (before the ceremony) that you’d like to include in your wedding album. And one thing you can always count on at Madera Estates is a plethora of picturesque backdrops.

Olivia and Connor timed it perfectly to not only get bridal party pics in front of the Grand Fireplace, but also capitalize on a beautiful sunset in the background. 

As you can tell, it was definitely a challenge to just limit it to a few photos, as they all turned out amazing! However, here are a few of our favorite moments they captured around the wedding venue.

And Now It’s Time For the “I Do’s”

With the pre-wedding activities all wrapped up, it’s officially time for the wedding ceremony!

Weather permitting, many of our wedding ceremonies take place outdoors in front of the Grand Fireplace, before being followed up with the reception inside the Hacienda. That was the case for Olivia and Connor’s celebration on this September evening.

After the rings were exchanged and vows were said, this couple is officially Mr. and Mrs. Congratulations!

While their guests enjoyed a cocktail hour, the newlyweds were able to capture some special twilight photos, as well as a few inside the empty ballroom where the reception would soon be held. Simply stunning!

Wedding Reception Hall Near Houston

After the bridal party had made their way into the Hacienda, it was time for Olivia and Connor to make their grand entrance, and then enjoy their first dance as husband and wife.

And shortly after that, everyone was able to enjoy some delicious food from Churrascos Woodlands. If you’re looking for a wedding caterer near the Houston area, you can’t go wrong with them!

Wedding Cake Cutting at Madera Estates

Kudos to Cakes by Gina on creating yet another beautiful and delectable wedding cake. The wedding cake tradition is one that goes back quite a while and is certainly always a fan favorite. After all, who doesn’t love a good wedding cake?!

Time to Hit the Dance Floor

Speaking of traditions, every wedding day is sure to include plenty of dancing as well! However, before everyone makes their way to the dance floor, we wanted to make sure to include a couple photos from the Father-Daughter and Mother-Son dances. Always a special moment they’ll undoubtedly remember!

We’ve already mentioned a few vendor recommendations near the Houston area throughout this blog. To add one more to the list, when it comes to keeping a wedding dance floor filled all night long, it’s tough to beat the talented team at DJU Entertainment.

And, of course, a wedding reception wouldn’t be complete without the bouquet toss!

Sparkler Send-Off

Last, but not least, we always agree that a sparkler send-off is a terrific way to cap off the best day ever. 

Sparkler send-offs have continued to become a trendy component of many weddings held here at Madera Estates. Not to mention, they always make for must-have moments in any wedding photo album too!
