For anyone that may be visiting our blog for the first time, we essentially break up most of our posts into two main categories. First off, there are wedding planning tips. Planning a wedding is without a doubt an unforgettable experience that couples will certainly enjoy! However, there are also plenty of tasks to be completed in the months leading up to the big day. Meeting with vendors, touring venues, planning the details and so on! As such, wouldn’t you agree that it doesn’t hurt to have a little assistance so you don’t have any unnecessary stress along the way? As for the second primary category (which will be portrayed in this blog), we also love reminiscing on past wedding ceremonies or receptions held at our venue, Madera Estates.
On this week’s blog, we’ll be looking back on Laura and Fernando’s special day! As a fall wedding, we always like to mention that the fall is definitely one of the more popular seasons for tying the knot. Whether it be the beautiful scenery used as a backdrop or the ideal weather conditions outside, it’s tough to beat a fall wedding! Laura and Fernando utilized the getting ready suites at Madera before heading to a church for the ceremony, and lastly returning to Madera for a fun reception! Thank you to all of the talented vendors that helped make this amazing wedding come to life, including Ulises Reyes Studio for capturing every single moment just right with these beautiful photos featured throughout the blog post. We’ll list out and link all of the vendors involved at the very end.
Inside the Champagne Suite
We’ll kick off this blog with a peek inside the Champagne Suite, which serves as the bridal lounge at Madera Estates.
How stunning does our bride-to-be look as she tries on her wedding dress? Not to mention, these photos also feature a sneak peek of what’s in store for the beautiful floral arrangements at this wedding made by Carter’s Florist!
Inside the Whiskey Lounge
Meanwhile, as Laura and her besties were getting all ready for the big day, Fernando and the guys were doing the same in the Whiskey Lounge. With the guys getting all spruced up, it’s safe to say the ceremony is right around the corner.
Time for the “I Do’s!”
After getting all glammed up at Madera Estates, the couple headed to their church for the wedding ceremony.
We said it before, but kudos to Ulises Reyes Studio for capturing the entire day so flawlessly, including the ceremony pictured here!
And just like that, after the vows and “I Do’s” had been exchanged, these two are officially Mr. and Mrs! Congratulations to Laura and Fernando!
Back to Madera Estates!
With the ceremony complete, the newlyweds headed back to Madera Estates for some photos and the wedding reception later on! Anyone else spot that vintage car from Jordan Limousines Vintage Cars & Trolleys that was used as transportation from the ceremony to reception?!
With a picture-perfect backdrop and pink bridesmaids dresses, we absolutely love how these wedding party photos turned out!

With plenty of time before the reception would get underway, we have to say these newlyweds were able to get all of the must-haves for the perfect wedding album!
In addition to the wedding party photos, Laura and Fernando were also able to snap some beautiful pictures elsewhere on the property as well! If you’re planning an upcoming wedding, these are definitely some photo ideas that would be worth sharing with your photographer!
Time to Celebrate!
Laura and Fernando’s wedding reception would be held inside the ballroom at Madera Estates, which we call the Hacienda. Between the lanterns, flower petals and plenty other elegant details, everything looked stunning for the celebration that was just about ready to take place.
After their guests had made their way into the Hacienda, Laura and Fernando made their grand entrance and enjoyed their first dance together as husband and wife!
If you’re currently in the midst of wedding planning, you likely know how important details are by now! With so many talented wedding vendors around the Houston area, you’ll notice their attention to detail is simply amazing. Pictured below is a glimpse at some of these flawless details. On the left is another beautiful work of art with a wedding cake from Cakes by Gina. Meanwhile, on the right, how about those customized champagne flutes?!
By the way, does anyone else LOVE these figurines with matching outfits to the bride and groom? Simply adorable!
One component for a wedding reception that you can’t go wrong with is a photo booth! Your guests will definitely love them and there’s also plenty of photo booth options to choose from nowadays!
Speaking of wedding reception ideas that you can’t go wrong with, taking advantage of the night-time element for some wedding photos is definitely one worth considering!
Laura and Fernando opted for that strategy and we have to say these photos turned out AMAZING! If time allows for it, we strongly recommend communicating this idea to your wedding photographer.
Last, but certainly not least, when it comes to closing out the “Best Day Ever” in style, everyone loves a good sparkler send-off!
