“The best love is the kind that awakens the soul and makes us reach for more, that plants a fire in our hearts and brings peace to our minds.” – Nicholas Sparks.

Having hosted weddings for 10 years now here at Madera Estates, seeing couples exchange their vows and tie the knot truly is something that never gets old! From their initial venue tour all the way through the final send-off on the big day itself, we absolutely LOVE what we do! For those that may be stopping by our blog for the first time, welcome to Madera Estates. Madera is a luxury wedding venue and event space located in Conroe, TX, just north of Houston and The Woodlands.

Here on our wedding blog, we primarily divide the content up between wedding planning tips and real looks at weddings held at our venue. Today’s blog can be categorized under the latter of those two. We’ll be looking back on Megan and Jonathan’s special wedding day that took place this past Spring. From all of the stunning details to the awesome sparkler send-off and so much more, this really was an amazing celebration of love!

Before diving into the beautiful photos, we would like to thank all of the talented vendors that helped make this day come to life! We’ll list all of them at the end of this blog, along with links to learn more about their services. In addition, special thanks to Jason Smelser Photography LLC for capturing the entire day so flawlessly, as evidenced by the photos featured in this blog post!

Inside the “Getting Ready” Suites

At Madera Estates, there are two “Getting Ready” suites that couples can utilize. Each has plenty of space for the wedding party to get ready for the day ahead and of course, snap some photos before the day’s festivities get underway!

The first of two suites is known as the Whiskey Lounge. It’s definitely the perfect hangout spot for the guys to enjoy some time together. As seen above, Jonathan and his pals were having some fun on the foosball table before snapping a few pics around the venue.

Meanwhile, let’s head over to the Champagne Suite where Megan is trying on her stunning wedding gown! After getting glammed up by Pink Palette Artists, our bride-to-be was able to get a few pics in her beautiful bridal gown made by Lillian West.

After a few pictures with her besties as everyone had their dresses on, Megan and Jonathan shared letters with each other. Such a precious moment for the two of them!

Pre-Ceremony First Look

For anyone that’s followed some of our previous blog posts, you likely know that First Look’s are becoming more and more popular amongst engaged couples. And we have to admit, these photos from Megan and Jonathan’s first look turned out amazing.

Not to mention, how beautiful is that scenic backdrop?

Another added advantage of having a first look is the fact that it allows you time to knock out some of your wedding photos before the ceremony! This generally allows for a seamless transition going from ceremony to reception and not having the feeling to rush any photos.

Megan and Jonathan were able to take an inside look at the Hacienda, which is where everything was all ready to go for the reception! From the floral arrangements by Pompom Florists and the dessert table from Wink by Erica to all of the other details, it truly was picture-perfect!

In regards to the wedding ceremony, it would soon take place in front of the Grand Fireplace, which serves as the signature backdrop piece for most ceremonies at Madera Estates.

As mentioned above, since they decided to have their first look prior to the ceremony, this allowed Megan and Jonathan the opportunity to capture several formal photos ahead of time!

Time to Say “I Do”

With all of the pre-ceremony items complete, it’s now officially time to make these two Mr. and Mrs!

Surrounded by their loved ones and some beautiful Spring weather, it’s safe to say everything was just right!

And before you know it, these two are husband and wife! Congratulations Megan and Jonathan!

While their guests enjoyed a cocktail hour and prepared for the reception, these newlyweds were able to sneak in a few more formal photos to add to this already-amazing wedding album!

Wedding Reception at Madera Estates

As we mentioned above, the reception for this wedding was held in the Hacienda. This is definitely a popular place for many wedding receptions.

This reception definitely had everything you could possibly want in a wedding reception! And of course, that includes some tasty desserts. We already briefly highlighted it earlier, but how awesome is this dessert table set-up?! Kudos to Wink by Erica!

After some fabulous toasts, Megan and Jonathan cut the cake before the dance floor would be opened up!

There’s no denying that neon signs are quickly becoming quite popular for weddings! Whether you go with something personalized (like your wedding hashtag) or with a common saying/phrase, they also make for adorable photos. The neon sign pictured below is from Double Oak Events.

After a fun evening of dancing with friends and family, Megan and Jonathan enjoyed one final dance in an empty ballroom while their guests lined up outside for the final send-off! This is always such a memorable moment for couples and a component we recommend incorporating into your wedding day timeline.

When it comes to closing out the Best Day Ever, it’s tough to go wrong with a sparkler send-off! It definitely continues to be a popular send-off choice for many couples and we have to say it’s always a good selection!

Congratulations to Megan and Jonathan! We thank you for allowing us to be a part of your special day and wish you a lifetime of love and happiness! We would also like to give a special thanks to all of the talented wedding vendors that helped out with this magical wedding celebration.
