As we near the end of 2020, it’s safe to say this year has been anything but normal! And as a result, we’ve all had to adapt and learn how to live in this new normal! All in all though, there’s still no denying that there’s been plenty of love in the air here at Madera Estates throughout this past year. For those new to our wedding blog, we welcome you to Madera Estates. Based just north of Houston in Conroe, TX, we are a Spanish and European-inspired luxury event venue. While our primary occasion we host is weddings, we’re also pleased to host quinceaneras, bar mitzvah and many other special events!
This week’s blog is going to walk you through Lauren and Bill’s celebration! They had their elopement at Madera in late March before holding their reception later on during the summer. We think you’re going to absolutely love this one! Such a fun-filled celebration!
Before we begin though, I would like to give a shout-out to our friends at Luxe Weddings for capturing all of these special moments! This wedding album turned out amazing!
Bridal Lounge in Conroe, TX
We’ll kick off this “Real Wedding” blog with their elopement ceremony that took place in late March. Thanks to the help of the talented Amanda Haley Hair Co, Lauren and her gals got all glammed up in the Champagne Suite, which serves as the bridal lounge at Madera Estates.
With the glam process complete, it was now time for Lauren to try on her wedding dress! How stunning does that gown look?! Simply adorable!

Meanwhile, let’s check in on Bill getting all spruced up in the Whiskey Lounge! The groom’s suite at Madera really does provide plenty of space for the guys to relax, as well as take advantage of some picturesque backdrops.
Lauren and Bill opted to exchange hand-written letters before the elopement ceremony.
Elopement Ceremony at Madera Estates
The weather was simply beautiful on this spring afternoon and our soon-to-be newlyweds opted for a first touch, or blind first look, leading up to the day’s events. These are becoming increasingly popular and certainly make for such a memorable moment for the couple.
As the elopement ceremony gets underway, would you look at Bill’s face as he sees his bride-to-be! Such an awesome backdrop out in front of the Grand Fireplace. If you’re following us on Facebook or Instagram, you’ve probably seen our large fireplace before! It serves as our signature backdrop for outdoor ceremonies, garden receptions and even first dances underneath the stars!
After the vows and rings were exchanged, the pair are officially Mr and Mrs! Congratulations!
With the elopement ceremony complete, let’s take a look at a few of the photos Lauren and Bill took throughout the property! If there’s one thing you can count on when having your wedding at Madera, it’s that there will be plenty of picture-perfect photo opps!
Our final stop of this elopement ceremony comes with the cake cutting! Kudos to the talented folks at Sweets to Dream On for creating this timeless and delectable cake that’s the perfect size for an elopement ceremony!
Wedding Party Photos in Conroe, TX
Let’s now fast-forward a few months as Lauren and Bill are able to have their friends and family join them in celebrating their nuptials. It may have not been as they originally envisioned (thanks to Covid), but it was nonetheless an unforgettable celebration of love!
After the bridal party got all glammed up, the entire group snapped some photos at a few spots throughout the property.
And now it’s time for the reception! The entire ballroom looked marvelous! For those new to our venue, we refer to this area as the Hacienda and it truly can be defined as artistic elegance. From the crystal chandeliers to the artisan-feature walls, it’s the perfect setting for a wedding reception!
After the bridal party made their way into the ballroom, it was time for the newlyweds to make their grand entrance. The couple entered the room and enjoyed a dance together as their guests looked on!
Next on the agenda was the always-entertaining toasts from some of Lauren and Bill’s loved ones! Safe to say they resulted in plenty of laughs from the crowd!
While we featured the smaller cake cutting festivities at the elopement ceremony, you’re certainly going to want to take a look at this beautiful creation! Once again, kudos to Sweets to Dream On for knocking another one out of the park! And the couple had to pay homage to their beloved Aggies from Texas A&M.
DJU Entertainment always knows how to get a party poppin’ at Madera Estates! The dance floor was filled up from start to finish and this really was such a fun-filled celebration all night long!
And to cap everything off, there’s arguably no better way to call it a night than with a sparkler send-off! Whether it be a sparkler send-off or a firework display, we absolutely love it when couples choose to end the night with some pizzazz.
