Spring is officially here! March 20th marks the first day of spring and we’re sure a lot of people are pretty excited about this. The temperatures start warming up, flowers start blooming, the sun stays out later in the evening and so on! All in all, there’s a lot to love about the spring. As a wedding venue, it’s safe to say that we understand how the seasons changing can impact the wedding world too. In fact, we actually covered how each of the seasons are capable of having a unique impact on weddings in a blog post earlier this year. If you’re interested in checking out that blog post, feel free to click the link HERE. Nonetheless, in this week’s blog post, we’ll be diving deeper into the upcoming spring season and discussing why springtime weddings are always so amazing!

Before we start analyzing a few of the many benefits of spring weddings, we would first like to give a welcome to anyone that may be new to our venue. Madera Estates is a luxury wedding venue and event space located in Conroe, TX. Every year, our team is honored to have the opportunity to work with engaged couples as they look to plan their dream wedding day! Meanwhile, our blog is intended to provide helpful advice for couples currently in the wedding planning process. For those interested in taking a look at some of these previous blog posts, you’re welcome to click HERE to view the complete blog! With that all being said, it’s now time to talk about why you may want to consider tying the knot in the spring season.

Weather. Weather. Weather.

Shortly after getting engaged and celebrating the exciting news, it’s safe to say there are a number of things that couples will look to complete first. Chances are some of these tasks will include selecting a date, establishing a budget and touring potential venues. Unsurprisingly, each of these serves an important role in the overall celebration and as such, it’s not hard to see why you would look to get them taken care of early on. Well…as I just mentioned, when it comes to selecting your date, you’ll likely first narrow it down to the overall season, right? After all, once that’s finalized, the exact date might be a little more flexible (possibly being dependent on venue availability).

One factor that may play into your decision could be the weather. Depending on where you’re planning on having your wedding, the weather outside can vary substantially. Being located here in Conroe, TX, we luckily have slightly warmer weather throughout the year (in comparison to other locations around the US), but the weather nonetheless plays a role, especially if you’re hoping for an outdoor ceremony or reception. Fortunately, weather tends to be an advantage associated with spring weddings around the US. Spring (similar to fall) resides in that sweet spot where you can get nice and cool temperatures outside. Of course, we always recommend couples to be cognizant of the potential for weather surprises on wedding day. Since you can’t predict the weather, make sure your venue has a back-up plan in case there were to be less than ideal weather on your particular date.

All of the Colors and Flowers!

Another major factor throughout the wedding planning process will involve picking a theme for your wedding and choosing the perfect color palette that aligns with how you’ve envisioned your big day. To take it one step further, you’ll then want to select floral arrangements and decor that matches everything as well! With that in mind, two things we always love about springtime weddings are the beautiful color palettes and floral arrangements that will inevitably be on full display. In general, for color palettes, we tend to see a lot of pastel colors. When paired with neutral colors, these can certainly bring a lively approach to this big celebration. As for flowers, you’ll be pleased to know that there are more than a few beautiful flowers in-bloom at this time. Tulips, peonies, lilacs, you name it! Trust us, the floral arrangements can add so much to your wedding and in particular, will add that extra touch to your beautiful wedding photos too.

Guests

Guests are an important part of any wedding celebration, right? Having your family and friends in-attendance for such a special occasion simply makes it that much more fun and memorable! With that being said, it’s important to look at the season/date and think about how that may impact guest attendance numbers (whether that be positively or negatively). The reason why we’re mentioning it here is because the spring season is generally not super busy. Holidays are one example of events that could have an impact and in the spring months, you’ll want to think about holidays like Easter and Memorial Day. Keep in mind that Memorial Day weekend can actually be a popular time for weddings (especially when travel is involved for some guests), as many people will have work off on that Monday. All in all, when it comes down to narrowing down your wedding date possibilities, make sure to pay attention to how the date may (or may not) affect guest attendance numbers!

While you can definitely list out unique advantages associated with each of the different seasons, the biggest thing to take into consideration is what you and your partner have envisioned for the big day!
